Kenneth E. Eberly, 78, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016, in his residence. He was the husband of Sharon M. Levengood Eberly, with whom he would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this September.
Born in Lebanon on October 5, 1937, he was the son of the late Walter A. and Dorothy M. Bomgardner Eberly. He retired as a lime burner at Bethlehem Mines, Annville, and then worked part-time at Eldercare, Lebanon
Ken was a 1956 graduate of Annville High School, served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and was a member of Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, Annville. His greatest love was music and played country and blue grass since he was 13 years old. He most recently played with the group, Echoes of Grace.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Sheri L. Eberly wife of James Keith of Addison, N.Y., Erin M. wife of Gene Kreitzer, Jr. of Fredericksburg; a son, Todd K. husband of Tina Eberly of Palmyra; seven grandchildren, Ian, Dylan and Willow Keith, Tory and Tia Eberly, and Regan and Austyn Kreitzer; and a brother, Dale E. Eberly of Palmyra. He was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Eberly.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Zion E. C. Church, 710 S. White Oak St., Annville, PA 17003, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Grand View Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zion E. C. Church in his memory.
