Just received word of Stu's passing and feeling that a part of my life has gone. Stu and his family were very dear friends for over thirty five years and he will be missed. I first met Stu in 1975 at Tobias Speed equipment and a deep friendship was forged right from the drop of the green flag and has lasted all these years. Even though my living in Canada and Stu in PA was a long drive away, we still remained in contact and visited frequently. I bought Stu's 1967 Pontiac many years ago on a promise from him that he would call me first should he decide to sell it. I still have that fine automobile and have kept it in the spotless condition as I saw it way back then. Today I will take it for a spin and remember the best of times we shared together knowing he is in a better place. Stu was a fair, compassionate and honorable man and the world will miss him deeply. Goodbye my good friend, you ran a great race.
