Thomas Benisch Obituary

Lake Mills, WI - Thomas D. Benisch, 75, Lake Mills, died on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the Aurora Medical Center in Summit.

He was born on May 22, 1949, in Columbus, the son of the late Clarence and Anna (Maertz) Benisch.

In 1967 he graduated from Waterloo High School.

Tom married Christine Gerstner on April 17, 1982, at the St. James Lutheran Church in Cambridge.

Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a draftsman for SPX and APV Crepaco.

Tom was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all Wisconsin teams: Packers, Badgers, Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and NASCAR.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Christine; their children, Jason Benisch of Fort Atkinson, Amanda Benisch of Lake Mills, Matthew Benisch of Jessup, MD; brothers and sister-in-law, Larry and Kathy Haumschild, Raymond Gerstner, Daryl Gerstner; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Benisch.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Lake Mills.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the church until the time of services.

Burial will be in Kroghville Cemetery.
