Mark Turner Obituary

Mark Turner

April 22, 1950 - August 10, 2025

Mark Alan "T" Turner, age 75, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on August 10, 2025. Born on April 22, 1950, in Bismarck, North Dakota, his family moved around Minnesota before settling in Eau Claire, where he graduated from Memorial High School in 1968. Mark worked for Eau Claire Energy for over 30 years before retiring in 2016. For the past decade he spent much of his time in Stone Lake, often hosting family and friends. Mark was a devoted companion, loving father and grandfather, and a friend to many.

Known to many simply as "T", Mark deeply loved the outdoors, downhill skilling, mountain biking and enjoying a good cocktail on the patio or around a fire. Yet above all, what he cherished most was time spent with his loved ones. His warmth and humor left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Mark's presence brought comfort, his stories brought laughter, and his love brought people together. He lived a life rich in connection and filled with meaningful moments shared around campfires, dinner tables, and patios. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Jewell; stepmother, Lorraine; father, Arthur; and sister, Joy.

Mark is survived by his siblings, Beth Rataczak, Dave (Connie) Turner, and Jim Turner; his children, Jonathon Turner and Kristin (Zach) Emery; and stepson, Andrew (Nancy) Burling. He is also survived by his beloved partner, Vicki Dowell, as well as his former spouse and the mother of his children, Brenda (Gunnes) Cisek. Mark was a proud grandfather to Samantha, Cora, Nathan, Roark, Mason, Franklin, and Bryce and a great-grandfather to Marcus. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews and their children.

A celebration of life will be held at Fox Run Tavern (1515 N 65th Ave. Eau Claire, WI 54703) on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, from 1:00-6:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to their GoFundMe to provide lifesaving AEDs to businesses in honor of Mark.
