Neva Robbins
April 21, 1932 - August 22, 2025
Neva I. (Hasart) Robbins, 93, of Eau Claire, WI passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Milestone Memory Care in Eau Claire. She was born April 21, 1932 at home in Hand County, South Dakota; daughter of Jacob and Carry (Harvey) Hasart. The Hasart family moved to Holcombe, WI in July of 1936. The family moved again in April 1945 to Eau Claire, WI.
She graduated from Eau Claire Senior High School in 1949. She then attended Eau Claire Vocational School (now known as CVTC). In the fall of 1950, she became an employee of Lasker Jewelers, where she worked for 3 years as a bookkeeper. It was there that she met Jack Robbins. They were married July 17, 1954 at the Truax Congregational Church. Jack and Neva were Sunday School teachers for many years there. Neva was also the treasurer for the church for many years.
They moved to Mondovi in 1955 when they purchased the Dallas Baker Jewelry Store. The Jack's Jewelry store was originally located at 148 S. Eau Claire St. They moved the business to two other locations on S. Eau Claire St. In 1992 when Jack officially retired the business moved to the garage of their house on Vine St. where he continued to do repairs for his customers.
She is survived by her children, Mary (John) Gerke, Lorene (Peter) Fobia and Sara Robbins; 8 grandchildren, 3 step granddaughters, 8 great grandsons, 3 great granddaughters, 6 step great granddaughters, 1 step great grandson; 2 brothers and 5 sisters, Harold (Sherry) Hasart, LaVern (Margaret) Hasart, Ina Myers, Vera Kittelstad, Doris Valerio, Irma Shepler, Diane (Tom) Bibeau; step sister Donna Polus; step brother Dale (Marilyn) Soden; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded her in death are her husband Jack, sons Samuel and Paul, daughter Janet, her parents, brothers Jacob Dean and his wife Shirley, Leslie and his wife Linda, Alvin and his wife Ruth, Harvey, and sister Ethel and her husband Harlan Nelson, brothers in law George Myers, Larry Kittelstad, Gene Valerio, Larry Shepler, James Robbins and step brother David Soden.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Truax Congregational UCC Church, 1008 50 th St. Eau Claire, WI 54703. Visitation will be 9:00- 11:00 at the church on Friday. Burial will be at the German Valley Cemetery in the Town of Albany, Pepin County, WI.
