Ranita Jensen
October 26, 1939 - August 1, 2025
Ranita Joy Jensen (Perry), 85, of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Ranita was born on October 26th, 1939, to Helen and Lawrence Perry in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She went on to graduate from E.C. Memorial High School in 1958 and then joined Cray Research Inc. She lived a huge portion of her life in Madison, WI, helping to raise her grandchildren. Those who knew Ranita knew three things about her: 1. You do not come between her and her Wisconsin sports. Sundays were planned around Packers games (even when they couldn't figure out how to play and had to turn on the radio and TV volume down because the announcers were annoying), and Brewers games were on in the background(NO ONE tell them they are actually doing good this year, please). The 2nd is that she was a kind, funny, generous person who would do just about anything to help someone in need. 3 Her family was everything to her. And while she said she did not have favorites, she made everyone of us feel special, and we all tend to say we are her favorite.
Ranita valued family above all, and she was the center of her family's world. She leaves behind 3 children, Pamala (Davane) Jensen of Oxford, WI, Brenda (Steve) Kaminski of Madison, WI, Louis (Icha) of Portland, OR, and bonus daughter Debera (James) Ebling; 8 grandchildren, Billie Jensen, Leon Jensen, Christopher Duerkop, Chad Haanen, Austin Jensen, Ranita Haanen, Ike Jensen, and Hailey Jensen; 5 great-grandkids, Kaiden Dobbins, Hope Jensen, Brodey Frame, Felix Duerkop, and Payton Seranio. As well as her remaining siblings, Margaret Cockeram, Harold (JoAnn) Perry, and Patricia (John) Hartmanstorfer. As well as many nieces and nephews. Ranita is preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Lawrence Perry, as well as siblings Marshall, Thomas, Janice, Barbara, Lois, Florence, Joyce, Raymond, and Richard. Our family would like to thank the staff at AGrace and Meadow Ridge Assisted Living in Baraboo, WI.
Please join us in celebrating Ranita, a memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home (120 E. Adams St. Lake Delton, WI 53940).
