Joyce Rowley, 87, of South Buffalo Township, passed away on, Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, while surrounded by her family, at Magnolia Place of Saxonburg.
Joyce was born in Freeport, on May 14, 1934, a daughter of the late Margaret (George) and Paul A. Ruffner.
She was the widow of James R. Rowley who passed in 2018.
Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed craftwork including painting, making Christmas tree ornaments, sewing, flower arrangements and most recently making fairy gardens. She loved gardening, camping, collecting Vaseline glass and most importantly spending time with her family.
Joyce is survived by two daughters: Judy A. Bologna, of Buffalo Township, and Jane E. (Kevin) Harbison, of Brookville; four sons: James P. Rowley, of South Buffalo Township, Jeff R. (Cathy) Rowley, of Freeport, John R. (Tracey) Rowley, of Ford Cliff and Joe A. (Marlene) Rowley, of Freeport; 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her brother, Andrew "Tink" (Nancy) Ruffner, of Freeport.
Joyce is preceded in by her parents; husband; grandson, Tyler Glaister; son-in-law, John Bologna; two sisters: Helen Baldwin and Lola Hogan; and two infant brothers.
Family and friends will be received from 1-3 p m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022, in the Redmond Funeral Home, Inc., 524 High St., Freeport, Pa., funeral service will be held following the visitation at 3 p.m. with Pastor Sally Jo Snyder officiating.
Burial will be held in Freeport Cemetery, Freeport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Orphans of the Storm, PO Box 838, Kittanning, PA 16201.
