Brady Alic Pate November 22, 1933 - May 15, 2009 COLUMBUS, GA— Mr. Brady Alic Pate 75, of Columbus, GA. passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009 at Columbus Hospice House. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday, May 18, 2009 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home Chapel, 4048 Macon Rd., Columbus, GA with Reverend Travis Sheppard officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM this evening, Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the funeral home. Mr. Pate was born November 22, 1933 in Cusseta, GA to the late Rufus and Addie Pate. He was a Veteran of the US Navy and was Pentecostal by faith. He enjoyed camping and motorcycle riding. He was known for his generosity of helping and giving to others. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Pate and James Pate and a sister, Mildred Fowler. Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Louise Pate; a daughter, Vicki McGurk (Charlie) of Columbus, GA; a son, Nickey Pate (Pam) of Phenix City, AL; three brothers, Paul Pate of Columbus, GA, David Pate (Martha) of Columbus, GA and Bobby Pate (Glenda) of Terre Haute, IN; three grandchildren, Alana Humble, Crystal Martin and Zachary Pate, all of Columbus, GA; and three great grandchildren, Gunnar and Athens Edwards of Lakeland, FL and Aleea Martin of Columbus, GA.
