David Mills

1952 - 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David Mills, age 72, of Columbus, Georgia on Aug 18, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital. David is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Debroah, two sons, Derek (Julie) and Drew, two brothers, Joe (Pam) and Clay (Carol), and his 5 nieces: Lynn, Carrie, Katie, Amanda, Alicia and 6 grand nieces and nephews: Emily, Austin, Zoe, Ethan, Luke, Kenneth, Noah. David was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Jeroline (Thompson) Mills. David was born on October 9, 1952, in Columbus, Georgia. David attended Hardaway High School (Class of 1971) where he developed his love of football. David went on to gain his Bachelor's degree from Columbus College soon after he joined Synovus as a compliance officer with the Auditing and Compliance Departments while also attending LSU Banking School of the South. David later went on to own and operate the Cataula Package Store in Cataula, Georgia until retirement in 2006. From there David lived a peaceful life. He was an avid UGA fan Woof Woof, Go Dawgs. He will be remembered as a loving, playful husband, father, brother, and uncle. He will be dearly missed by many.

The memorial service will be held at Unique Events, 3641 Norris Rd, Columbus, GA 31907 on August 30th from 1-4 p.m.
