Phenix City, AL- Ms. Frankie "Shug" Tarver Thompson, 65, of 2617 5th Street, Phenix City, AL passed Thursday, August 8, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. EST, Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Gaines Chapel A.M.E. Church, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Richard Carter, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Benevolent Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Pittsview, AL. Visitation is today from 1 - 8 p.m. EST according to Taylor Funeral Home, Inc.
Ms. Thompson was born December 19, 1947 in Seale, AL to the late Willie Lee Tarver and the late Fannie B. Word.
Survivors include three sons, Thurrell (Pam) Thompson of Merriville, IN; Emmanuel Thompson of Phenix City, AL; Adrian (Lashawn) Thompson of Indianapolis, IN; two daughters, Doris Thompson and Andretta (Smith) Ryles both of Phenix City, AL; three brothers, George Tarver and W.C. Tarver both of Phenix City, AL; Daniel Tarver of Seale, AL; four sisters, Jessie (Moses) Toney and Jeroline Tarver both of Phenix City, AL; Barbara Hamilton of Columbus, GA; Rosie Faniel of Seale, AL; 12 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
