Dallas, GA- Gerald Ray Herring, Jr., age 46, of Dallas passed away August 4, 2012. He was born in Columbus, Georgia on October 26, 1965 to Gerald Ray Herring and Sara Eugina Funderburk Herring. He worked as a quality control manager for Bosch Company and was a member of Clearview Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Herring Ardon.
He is survived by his daughters, Victoria Evelyn Herring and Elisabeth Macy Herring of Villa Rica; sister, Cindy Addison of Florida; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Carol Herring of Douglasville; brother, James Ricky Herring of Douglasville; nieces, Sara and Samantha Herring of Douglasville.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. from the Clearview Baptist Church in Douglasville with Reverend Donny Chandler officiating.

It saddens my heart to know that such a good man has passed so young. I had the opportunity to coach is daughter and have been around Mr. Herring for years at the ball park. He was such a positive and simply nice person! He will be missed.... His family will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
