Jeremy David Robertson, 37, of Columbus, GA, passed away at his residence on October 8, 2021. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 11AM in the chapel at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary.
Jeremy was born on February 1, 1984 to David Franklyn Robertson and Lisa Michele Brosch in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from Hardaway High School and received a Bachelor's degree in Health Science from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Jeremy played football for both his high school and college, receiving two state championship rings when he played for Appalachian State. He had a career in law enforcement, he worked for the Muscogee County Sheriff's office. Jeremy served 10 years with the Sheriff's office. He joined the force because he thought it would benefit the department because of his size. If you knew Jeremy, he looked intimidating but we all knew he was an "Unofficial Teddy Bear". He was a hardworking, dedicated husband and father, he married the love of his life, Crystal on April 13, 2018. Jeremy loved to joke around and play pranks on people just to get a good laugh and hopefully put a smile on their face. He also loved football preferably, the Georgia Bulldogs, he loved collecting Dead Pool comic books and spending time at home with his family. To his cousins Jeremy was known as the "giant jungle gym", he was a family man, his family meant the world to him. He loved the water, he learned how to swim at a young age and has loved going to the beach or hanging out by the pool ever since. To know Jeremy was to love him, he was a big kid at heart. Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin Robertson and Vivienne Louise Robertson. He will forever be missed by his wife, Crystal Hiwana Jackson; daughter, Emma Louise Robertson; mother, Lisa Michele Brosch; father, David Franklyn Robertson; grandparents, Harry and Mary Condrey; numerous cousins and aunts.

I know it has been awhile since Jeremy earned his wings and went on to heaven. I remember the first time I met Jeremy. What a privilege it was to work with him in intake. Always smiling joking. I adopted him as my work son. One day Jeremy asked me if I could make chocolate gravy and biscuits. I went home searched for the recipe. I made biscuits and put the gravy in a bowl. I set it on the desk. When he came in I told him he had a surprise. He was happy. He ate all of it that day. I fan still see him smiling. My heart is still broken but I will cherish the memories. I miss Jeremy. My prayers are with his family.

I am so sorry Lisa and Scott. Your son was so very kind to me and to my son while he was incarcerated at Muscogee County. He was very positive and good hearted. I feel your pain and will pray for you both, his family left behind and all continuously. He did touch my heart and my son, Carter´s as well. He talked of him today. God bless you all through these days.

I send my heartfelt condolences to Jeremy's family. I had the privilege of working with him at the zmuscogee county jail. He had a way of making a bad day into a great day with his infectious smile and his positive attitude. I know that he will be missed. I will keep a prayer in my heartfir his family. Rest easy my friend.
