Ellerslie, Georgia - On March 4, 2024, the world bid farewell to a beloved matriarch, Judy Dean, who passed away peacefully at the age of 81. Born on December 1, 1942, Judy graced the world with her presence, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In her youth, Judy found joy and camaraderie in the Girl Scouts, fostering a spirit of adventure and service that would define her life. With determination and tenacity, she forged a successful career in real estate, leaving an enduring legacy of professionalism and integrity.
But beyond her professional accomplishments, Judy will be remembered most for her unwavering love and devotion to her family. She leaves behind a son, Chris (Jackie), a daughter, Meredith Riley (Robert), a grandson James, who were the lights of her life. Judy was also a cherished sister to Sandy Thornton (Joe) and Debbi Moore (Wayland), and a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews each touched by her kindness and devotion.
Judy will be remembered for her warmth, her generosity, and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Her laughter filled rooms, her smile lit up faces, and her love knew no bounds.
Judy's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May her memory be a blessing. She was a devoted member of Grace Presbyterian Church. A celebration of life will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church at 11 A.M. Saturday, March 23. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.

I met Judy in 1965 when she and Paul moved into the apartment across the hall from us. We became good friends and, over the years, stayed in touch for a long time. After my divorce, my children and I would visit with her. We loved going to Columbus and she took me to Country's BBQ for the first time. Judy was a woman of grace and compassion and I know that Meredith and Chris will miss her. I hope the two of you are well.
