Duluth , GA- Martha B. Smith, 64, of Duluth, GA passed away on Sunday November 8, 2015 at Emory University Hospital in Decatur, GA. She died from heart disease and complications of quadruple bypass surgery.
Born January 14, 1951 in Decatur, GA she was the daughter of the late William Jamieson and Martha K. Barnett. She graduated from North Druid Hills High School, Decatur in 1969. She worked for Southern Bell for 17 years and retired to become a full time mother of her two sons in 1984.
Survivors include sons, William Bradford and John McCord Smith; and brother, John Jamieson Barnett.
Based on Martha's wishes, she was cremated on November 11, 2015 and her ashes were spread in the Pacific Ocean off Hawaii. Martha loved all animals, so in lieu of flowers, please make donations to your local Humane Society or animal shelter.
The family will receive visitors at AS Turner & Sons, 2773 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033 at 11:00am, Saturday, December 5, 2015 followed by a service in the chapel at noon.
