October 18, 1938 - February 26, 2023
Macon, Georgia - Roy Douglas Judah, 84, of Macon, GA, passed away on February 26, 2023. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens officiated by Dr. Mark Hudgins.
Mr. Judah was born in Ozark, AL on October 18, 1938, to the late Roy and Dora Judah. He is survived by his sweet wife of 49 years, Ola Jean Judah; son, Joel Judah (Katie) of Macon; sister, Sharon (Parviz) Akbari; and three grandchildren, Luke, Sarah, and Hannah Judah.
Mr. Judah worked as a media specialist at Columbus High School in Columbus, GA for nearly 30 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Brother Roy had such a good impact on our family. It is with fondest that we remember Brother Roy Judah today. He taught us so much, his willingness to share his biblical knowledge and his love towards our family will always be remembered and a part of us. May the Lord bless Sister Ola Jean and Joel and family.

I am so sorry that I did not know until today that Mr. Judah had passed. I was a student at CHS in the late 80's (Class of 1989) and spent the majority of my time in the library. I worked there in the morning, during any class I could get out of, and in the afternoon. I had so many conversations with Mr. Judah in the sanctuary of his office. Of late, life got in the way of keeping in touch but his memory has never faded from my thoughts. I am saddened that this world has lost such a wonderful man but I am grateful to have known him and will always cherish the memories that we shared.

Roy Judah blessed my family for as long as I can remember. The entire Judah family had a profound impact on us as Brother Roy would speak in our church, sharing his knowledge of the scriptures, and playing the organ or piano as Joel would sing. I can still hear them singing together, "The Comforter has come", (Eastside Assembly of God in Columbus, Ga.,) and his wife, Sister Ola Jean Judah teaching the ladies class many times. Joel you have a strong legacy and you too blessed us as we watched you grow up into such a fine man. No doubt the hand of the Lord is on you and we are so thankful for your parents and all they contributed to our community with the fine Christian example they set. We are blessed to have so many wonderful memories of Brother Roy Judah, our love and prayers we offer up to the Lord for you and your mama, and entire family. I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Judah's passing. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. He was the librarian at Columbus High when I was a student, and then later he was a colleague when I taught there. He was a very kind, thoughtful, and godly man, and I always enjoyed talking with him. I later worked at Richards with Sharon and got to know her, Parviz, Matthew, and Courtney. I know Mr. Judah will be dearly missed by all of you.

I had the pleasure of working with Mr Judah for many years at Columbus High School. He was a wonderful man who was outstanding in his work. Everyone loved and respected him. I am so thankful to have known and worked with him. Keeping the family in my prayers.

I had the distinct pleasure of knowing Mr. Judah when I was a student at Columbus High in the early 70's. He was part of a superb faculty and extremely helpful in the library. Greatest sympathy to the family.

I have had the great blessing for over 22 years of knowing Brother Judah as a very dear friend, trusted confidant, and a fellow servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. I will miss his fatherly advice, scriptural wisdom and fellowship more than I can say. He is much loved and will always be very fondly remembered.
We pray the Lord's comfort and peace be with Sister Judah and with Joel and his family.

CHS Class of '79. Mr. Judah was so wonderful in helping locate a good read or a book that was needed for a project. Excellent reference for information as well. He was a blessing for many a Columbus High student.
