Valery Myers Obituary

Valery Chanel Dunlap Myers August 14, 1967 - March 1, 2009 COLUMBUS, GA — Ms. Valery Chanel Dunlap Myers of 3836 Less Drive, Columbus passed Sunday at Emory University Hospital in Decatur, GA. She was 41 years old. The daughter of Hubert and Daisy Livingston Dunlap of Columbus, Ms. Myers was born in Columbus, Georgia on August 14, 1967. She was a 1986 graduate of Shaw High School and was attending Troy State University where she was a senior majoring in Elementary Education. She was a member of Forrest Park Baptist Church. Survivors, other than her parents, include: a brother, Kenneth Dunlap (Kimberly); three sisters, Patricia Dunlap James (Jesse), Cynthia Dunlap and Anetra Dunlap, all of Columbus; three godchildren, Dainisecia Neal, Terrell James and Latinna Collins; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and very dear friends and her former spouse, Dwayne Myers of Columbus. Homegoing services for Ms. Dunlap-Myers will be Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at Forrest Park Baptist Church with Rev. H. Randy Stephen, pastor officiating. The interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. There will be no public visitation. The cortege will depart from the residence at 12:45 the day of the service. Arrangements entrusted to the staff of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc.
