David Despres Obituary
Ocala, FL - David Despres passed away peacefully at Hospice of Marion County, Ocala FL, on April 6, 2025.
Born on November 30, 1936, to Alfred and Bernadette (Ouellet) Despres. David's love for flying began at the age of 16, when he earned his pilot's license at Silver Ranch Airport. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Air Force. Following his time in the Air Force, he worked until retirement as a traveling tool salesman. Along with many years flying, he also enjoyed summers RVing in Wells, Maine.
He was preceded by his wife, Violet (Sangermano) Despres and son, Steven; Brothers, Alfred, Charlie, and Joseph; and a sister, Betty Twitchell.
David leaves behind his son, Paul (Peggy) and stepson, Michael Hill (Nan); Three grandchildren, Lyndsey Vaillancourt (Gerry), Whitney Marquis (Daniel), and Isaac Despres (maneeya); Five great-grandchildren, Aubrey Vaillancourt, Theodore, and Alex Marquis, and Aria and Maisie Despres; Two sisters, Pamela Parrish, Peggy Paige; and a brother, Robert Despres.
A memorial Mass will be held on June 21st, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 12 Church Street, Peterborough, NH 03458, with a reception to follow. He will be laid to rest in Pine Hill Cemetery, Peterborough, NH.
