Adam Poindexter Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 1, 2013.
Adam Keith Poindexter, 32, of Bismarck, Arkansas went to be with his Lord December 29, 2012 at his home. Adam was born September 13, 1980 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to John Chris and Delores Elaine (Bledsoe) Poindexter. He was raised in Mustang, Oklahoma before moving to Bismarck as he began high school. He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1999 and had gone on to attend College of the Ouachitas.
Adam was extremely bright, witty, and clever. One of his friends referred to him as a "vat of useless Knowledge". He had large amounts of pride towards his family and friends for their accomplishments. He had a naturally courteous nature, opening doors for strangers, returning shopping carts to the racks, and helping others. Adam was an amazing story-teller, going to great depths and keeping the listener enthralled. He was always happy and ready to have fun especially with any activity outdoors and had an extraordinary sense of humor. Those closest to him knew how deeply spiritual Adam really was. Adam was great with children and was an amazing uncle. He was everybody's best friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Poindexter is preceded in death by his father, John Chris Poindexter; and grandparents, Cleatis and Ella Mae Bledsoe.
Survivors include his mother, Delores McConihay of Bismarck; older sister and husband, Amy Rhea and Jeremy Woodall of Hot Springs; two younger brothers, Travis Jay McConihay of Bismarck, Ryan Edward McConihay of Little Rock; grandmother, Jean Poindexter of Fort Worth, Texas; two nieces, Holly Beth Rogers and Katelyn Elaine Rogers; nephew, Gavin James Rogers all of Hot Springs; three aunts, one uncle; many cousins; and numerous friends.
A visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Regency Funeral Home in Malvern. Services have been scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Regency Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers are long-time friends; Michael Olivella, James Schee, Cody Minton, Chris Shepard, Tony Looper, and John Hearitige.
Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home of Malvern, Arkansas. You may sign the guest book at www.regencyfuneralhome.com.
