Adolphus Green

Adolphus Green 85 of Orange, Texas died on January 27, 2009 at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont after a short illness. Mr. Green was a native of Weiss, Louisiana and a resident of Orange, Tx. for many years. He was a retired truck drive and a faithful member of Salem United Mehodist Church in Orange. He had served onthe United Methodist Men commitee for several years. Home going celebration will be at 12:00 noon Saturday at Salem United Methodist Church located at 402 west John street with Pastor Dr. Carolyn McCall officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 a.m. til time of service. Military hornors along with Interment will be held at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Tx. under the direction of Colonial Memorial Chapel. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Betty Jo Green of Orange, Tx. Two sons, Adolphus Green Jr ofAtlanta, Ga. Herman Watkins of New Orleans, La. Four daughters, Enola Williams of Atlanta, Ga, Jewel Mooris and Marie Hall both of Slidell, La and Shelia Lewis of New Orleans, La. One step daughter, Kida Sonnier of Houston, Tx. He also leaves behind 32 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
