Alice Marie Dennehy (Gavin)

February 11, 1937 - October 10, 2024

Alice Marie Dennehy, 87, passed away October 10, 2024 surrounded by her loving children. Alice, the daughter of Frank Gavin and Mary (Langone) Gavin, was born in Boston, MA February 11, 1937 and grew up in East Boston, MA.

Alice was preceded in death by: her parents, Frank and Mary Gavin; husband, Thomas F. Dennehy; siblings, James Gavin and his wife Peggy, Donald Gavin, Fred Gavin, and Marion (Gavin) DiOrio; parents-in-law, Joseph J. and Rita L. Dennehy; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe Dennehy, James Dennehy, Betty Ann (Dennehy) Tracy and her husband Tom.

Alice is survived by: her six loving children, Donna Dennehy and her wife Doreen, Lisa Dennehy, Karen Dennehy, Thomas P. Dennehy and his wife Sandra, Maureen Ruppel and her husband Ron, and Kelly Zaulyczny and her husband Andrew; cherished grandchildren who called her Nana, Robert, Hali, Sean, Danielle and her husband Patrick, Megan, Ryan, Michael, Jason, Ashley, and Gracie; great-grandchildren who called her Gigi, Nash and Peyton Grace; loving sister, Catherine Carbone and her husband Jerry; sister-in-law, Margaret Dennehy; many nieces and nephews; lifelong friend, Sis Kelley; and her golden child and fur baby Logan.

Alice enjoyed spending her time doing arts and crafts, painting rocks, reading, and Wells Beach visits for peace, quiet, and relaxation. She was also an animal lover, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

A private celebration of Alice's life will be held at a later date.

Alice's family would like to thank everyone for their love and support.
