I am so very sorry for your loss. I took 4 years of latin with Mrs. O'hearn (over 20 years ago!)....she was by far the most influential of all my teachers. I kept in touch with her right up until 2 years ago. She was an amazing lady and made such a difference in my life!

My thought and prayers are with you all at this very sad time. Mrs. O'Hearn was a wonderful teacher and friend. She was always there for me and believed in me when it seemed no one else did. I dont know how i would have made it through school without her. She will forever be in my heart and i miss her greatly. The world lost a wonderful woman.

My thoughts and prayers to the O'Hearn family. Alice was a wonderful lady, always positive and so willing to do whatever it took to help her students and family. I will always remember her thoughtfulness as I worked with her and both of my children had her as a teacher and she truly helped them to enjoy the many things that she taught. I also will remember the green carnations and I think of her fondly every St. Patrick's Day. Rest in peace Alice you were a wonderful woman.

A scholar, a sage, a student, a teacher, a colleague, a mentor; most of all, a devoted friend. My heart is full of love for this very special woman who touched so many lives in wonderful and important ways. Here's to you, Alice! You deserve the chorus of angels who sang your praises on your journey home. Your kindness and generosity of spirit live on.

My deepest sympathy to the family.
Alice was a wonderful person and a deeply caring and dedicated teacher. I lived in the adjoining classroom at Green Mountain for many years. Your Mom and I arrived very early at school and walked in together most every day discussing our fondest memories or hardest tests of strength in the teaching field. I learned much from her and will always have fond memories of our years at GM and the wonderful Christmas photo cards of her beloved family.
