My heartfelt sympathy to the family! I grew up near Amy and share so many fond memories of our time in school, church and sports {especially our car rides to and from practices}! Amy was competitive, smart, funny and compassionate! I am grateful I ran into her & Dale a few years ago at the Komen Race for the Cure in Raleigh and was able to catch up after so many years had passed!
My prayers & thoughts are with Dale & Dawn and the rest of the family! With deepest sympathy!

Amy was surely one of a kind. I've had the pleasure to work with her for several years and one of the things I can say was pure in her heart was building relationships with people she worked alongside. She always asked about people's lives outside of work and I've heard over and over how that was appreciated. She always kept us guessing in the office. No doubt she intentionally threw some jabs just to make us throw some back at her. She relished the back and forth kidding. We would talk amongst ourselves at what might come out of her mouth next. One of her finest "wherever you are, there you'll be." No doubt she loved the Lord and I know where she is today. She loved her family and we heard about it. Dale, she told us all she had married a trophy husband and she was your arm candy. Kidding aside she was proud to be your wife. Brett and Taylor she was proud to be your mom and proud of you both. We heard plenty about your years growing up. Liam's name would spark a smile in an instant and she was ready to talk about her grandbaby. We'll continue praying for all of you all in the week's ahead.

We are so shocked and saddened by Amy's passing. It just don't seem real. To the family, we love y'all and will be praying for everyone. If there's anything we can do for you now or anytime let us know. I was raised with the Blackburn family and thought of them as my own. So many memories as I pass by the home. It is looking so good since Cathy is back in the house and Dale and Amy had been working around Mae's place. Ricky and Amy passed to soon for us left here but God has a plan that only he knows and it's the ultimate plan. Trust in God and He will comfort you.

Amy was my friend and frequented my quilt store, Sew Blessed Quiltworks, to purchase fabric for her many ongoing projects. I quilted quilts for her as well. She was always so generous in giving me her leftover fabric from her projects and I could use them to make community service quilts!
To Amy’s family: May the love and prayers of her friends surround your family during this difficult time.

Amy was one of a kind. She told you how it was and she dearly loved the Tarheels , her and I always talked about who was the best..(Im a Duke fan and you know how that goes between Duke and Carolina). When Duke lost I heard about it right away and when the Tarheels lost I always let her know and she always would take it as good as she could...but we always stayed friends and we would say wait until the next round... She will surely be missed bye me and coworkers and I hope and pray that God will comfort the family during this sad time.

Please accept my condolences during this time of loss and grief. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with all three sisters...Teresa, Dawn and Amy. All three where the best people you could ever hope to have in your corner, no matter what. Amy always joked with me saying that she was my favorite of the three sisters :). She was so generous with her humor and could make you laugh even during the most stressful days. I will always cherish the UNC Tarheels stocking she made me for Christmas last year. She was a great friend and I am going to miss her dearly. I will continue to pray that God grants you all peace and grace during this very difficult time.
