I met Amy Williams Olson in 1963 when our husbands were in the Navy and stationed in Norfolk Va. My first thought was "this southern gal sure can talk" !

Our friendship grew as we shared camping and visits and I learned about the pharmacy industry, her family, and South Carolina politics.

Our contacts dwindled but never affected our conversations as our friendship stood the test of time. I loved her laughter and her ability to keep up with EVERYONE in her family.

Rest in peace - you will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Aunt Amy´s passing. Although we did not see each other often, I have fond memories of her from when I was a child. I loved when Aunt Amy, Uncle Bob, Amy, and Audrey came to visit us in Myrtle Beach, parking their giant motor home on the lawn. I´ll also always remember, Tiny, the dog!

Amy always sent me a handwritten Christmas card every year letting me know news of the family. I was very special.

Hugs to everyone.

Chamber pot. Let me explain...I was good friend's with Amy's daughter Amy or "Olson" as we refer to her. I came over to their house one day, while we were in high school. I had to use the bathroom and went into the oven downstairs. I don't remember how I did it but I accidentally broke a pot that was in the bathroom. I was so upset and embarrassed. I came out and told Big Amy what I had done- I broke the pot in the bathroom and I'm really sorry about it. She laughed and asked me did I know what it was...I said no and she said it's a chamber pot and explained it's use. I was even more mortified. We had a good laugh and continue to have good laughs over that mishap. Lord, only me.
