My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I had the pleasure of marching and becoming good friends with Dre at ECSU. Andre and I spent a lot of time hanging out at school and at my Mom’s house in VA. He was a part of the family and will be missed.

Unfortunate for me I never had the privilege of meeting Andre, but he was my brother-in-law (Tina is married to my brother). I'm sure I missed out knowing a great person. My condolences and prayers to the family. May God bless you.

Uncle,
You were supposed to be caling me this week so we can decide when we were to go to the grocery store. I planned on doing the whole thing this year even though I don't believe in celebrating pagan holidays. I thought about you alot yesterdy upset still about this whole situation. I still feel like this is wrong and this incident sent something off course. This is really hard for me and I wish it wasn't so. I miss you Andre. And I wish you could come back.

I would like to take this opportunity to offer my condolences to the Norwood family. I was in the band with Andre at ECSU, and he was one of the most talented musicians I met during my time there. I think about the time when ECSU put out a CD of music by students in the music department. I told Dre' that his track was the best on the CD, and it was true. RIP Dre.

Romans 13:7 Render therefore to all their dues:tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
I honour you for graduating from kindergarten and high school with "honors"; being on the Honor Roll through out those years.
Jack & Jill Beautillion Militaire. Graduating from Elizabeth City State University the degree of Bachelor of Science Music Industry Studies (Cum Laude) making the Deans list; and The American Academy of Distinguished Students Directory 1996-1997.
This is a "great honor".
You never missed a day from school, never tardy, from pre-school throughout high school. You was a fighter. Your illness never was an issue to you. Congratulations, son for a job well done. You made me a proud mom. Thanks for showing to me and others what a young black man can achieve.
Your mama,
Evang. Dr. Theola D. Norwood

November 15, 2008 my baby brother turned 35. I left Dayton because I could not bear the lost of my oldest brother Cedric (19). Fifteen years later I lose my youngest brother, Andre'. To everyone who still has their immediate family members, don't get too busy to talk or even go see them no matter what it is. Sometimes procrastinating can bring torment in your life. You find yourself saying and thinking: If I only could have been more involved, or why didn't I just go over there instead of call.
Since these two people I so deeply loved have gone on to a better life; I have made it my business to live by my words. I want everyone to know that "Your word is your bond." Don't say something to someone unless it is sincere nor go back on your word." God's word NEVER comes back void; so practice not lying.
In loving memory of my brothers: Cedric John Norwood 11//04/61 and Andre' Cleavon Norwood 11/15/73

Dre it's hard to believe you are gone. We have been friends since kindergarten. We played together, laughed together, and learned together. No matter the situation we almost saw eye to eye on everything. I just want to thank you for giving me a chance to share your love for music with you. We had a good time while you were here. From performing at the Fly City Musicfest. To building our own studio downtown. Most of all I want to thank you for being a good friend. It's so hard to find someone you can count on no matter what. And anybody who has meet you and gotten a chance to know you will feel the same way. The world has lost a friend, but heaven has gained one. Andre you will be truly missed by me and everyone who has been honored to know you. Happy birthday, and rest in peace. Your friend forever Scott.

Uncle Andy,
I know that you are at rest but at this point and time I really can't get past this right now, we were a team. Both of us searching for The Light ,but I can never be mad at the Creator for taking what belongs to him. But know this, I'm not going to stop the mission that we shared together and if the Creator appoints you to be an angel over me I know that I'll discover things alot sooner. I hope everyone knows that you were a Man, one of great moral. It's ironic that you were as short as you were with that stature that you displayed, truly a giant among men. I'll think of you always so your memory will never fade from this physical realm. May the Creator embrace you and illuminate your light with his Love, Wisdom and Power, I Love You and I'll see you soon,
Your Only Niece

To the Norwood family,
Words just are not good enough to express my most sincere condolences to your family. Munchie (that was what we called Andre) was the sweetest man I have ever known. I am shocked and saddened at his untimely death. I will always remember the special times that we shared and the love that he extended to me and my family. He will truly be missed. Your family will always be in my prayers and thoughts. Psalms 27:1-14.

Dear (Andy) Baby brother,
I love you so very much. You will always be with me in my heart and spirit. You being the baby of the family gave me a turn to be a big sister even though I am the baby girl. I cherish every minute I had with you. I draw strength in knowing that you were able to go on and become a well respected and strong young man; never needing anyones help nor handouts.
When I think on by brother I'm reminded of:
PROVERBS 13:20 He that walkth with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
Ecclesiates: Chp 3 vs 1-22 devoted to you and the family .
May you continue to live in peace my sweet, kind, and humble brother. Your sister

My Dearest Baby Brother,
As I sit here today with memories of you, my heart is filled with joy. I hear your voice telling me "Don't worry Lei, I'm alright." I know you are with the angels now, and your light will always shine upon me. It gives me great pride & happiness to have been able to have a brother such as you. There could be no greater reward than seeing Jesus smile when all is said and done. His approval is the measure of our success. I will miss you, but it's only temporary Lil Andy, for I know in due season, I will see you again.
Forever & Always Loved...Elisha
