Andrew Brennan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 5, 2024.
The beloved Andrew J. Brennan passed away October 30, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Born February 24, 1953 to the late Edward J. and Lois L. (Harpster) Brennan of Allentown, Pennsylvania.

In 1983 he met his soulmate, Priscilla Davies, whom he married in 1986. They raised their children Edward William "Will," of Slatington and Erin Elizabeth of Avon, CT on their property in the home the couple built in Heidelberg Township. Together the couple created an environmental haven with an abundance of their favorite trees, shrubs, and flowers beaconing wildlife, with all of God's creatures.

Andrew, a Catholic, attended Cathedral Church of Saint Catharine of Siena where he served the congregation as greeter and usher with unwavering faith. Ever garrulous, Andrew made many friends throughout his life wherever he went. An avid traveler, he frequently visited Buxton, North Carolina; Cupatitzio, Mexico; Rome and Florence. Andrew loved to share stories and always sent those he met away with a smile.

His extended family includes sister, Bonnie Brennan, Coopersburg, along with her daughter, Tessa, New York City, his brother Jim, wife Tina, son Eamon, and daughter Eliza, of Pelham, NY, daughter Erin's fiancé Will Simon, the Davies and Barnard families, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Thank you, God, for giving us the gift of Andrew, taken away too soon. We will meet you again, and may God greet you with grace as you meet your final destination.

Services: Cathedral Church of Saint Catharine of Siena on Saturday, November 9 for 10am visitation followed by 11am mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Davis Phinney Foundation in care of the O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc.

Priscilla, I was very sad to hear of Andrew's passing. When I worked at Blue Mountain Nursery for 20 years Andrew was my favorite customer. We would ride around on the golf cart while picking out the plants he needed and we would talk and laugh. He would tell jokes. But mostly I appreciated that he always asked about my kids (ha, especially "the boy"). He cared about my life and I cared about his. I wish peace to you and your kids and all who loved Andrew.

My father and Drew's Father were first cousins and joined at the hip. I was fortunate enough to know all the Brennan family, and of course Andrew, who we all knew as Drew. Drew was a curious and adventurous lad who could be mischievous in loving ways. He always made me laugh and for that alone, I'm eternally grateful. He grew up to be a loving husband and father and lived lift to the fullest. I'm sure the Leprechauns have accompanied him home. And I sat to him..."May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sunshine warm upon your face. May the rains fall gently on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His Hand." Slan Go Foill
