I was a young musician when I met Andy, This man was a signifigant influence in my life since our first encounter. Additional encounters over time really gave me the full impression of what this human was all about. I am somewhat small in stature and Andy was not a small man. We had several frank discussions about the band and what he liked and did not like about us. He we very direct and I tried my best to not be intimidated so I did my best to not let it show but I am sure he could see right through all that young arrogant BS. I would jokingly call him Dad or old man and he would give me the snear and then pour me a drink while telling me to leave the help alone I don't want you distracting them, they are here to work. I will never forget the night a fight broke out and I was doing my best with some bouncers to stop it and as soon as it got out of hand I saw Andy jump over the counter and within 10 seconds had the matter under control. Everytime I thought I was getting to understand this man he would do something like this and my respect for the man grew exponentially over the years. My initial intimidation from our first encounter turned into limitless admiration. Here is pic from Andys vantage point, thanks for all the good times and supporting us crazy kids. We all loved you dearly.
