Andrew F. Taravella Sr.

Andrew Taravella, a lifelong resident of McKees Rocks and devoted Steelers fan, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2024 at the age of 77, after a long illness, with his family by his side. Beloved father of Chris (Amanda) Holt, the late Andrew, and the late Jake, he was also the grandfather of Kai and Jaco, who brought endless joy to his life. Andrew was often found with a pipe in hand, immersed in the music he loved. He took pride in his work and found joy in helping others, always putting others' needs before his own. Above all, he adored his family, with a special bond shared with his young grandson, Jaco.

Loving brother of Joann Jurist (the late Rodney) and Evelyn Kritzo (the late James), Andrew is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends. His love, guidance, and unwavering support will be deeply missed. Andrew's legacy of hard work, and passion will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday September 3, 2024 from 6-8pm at Szal Funeral Home Inc. 238 Helen St McKees Rocks, PA 15136 where a blessing service will begin at 7:30pm. Inurnment will be held at St Mary's Help of Christian Cemetery at 10am on Wednesday September 4, 2024.
