Anita Denis Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 12, 2025.
Glencliff - Anita Theresa Denis, 69, entered Eternal Life on January 6, 2025. The sickness was the sadness as her kidneys had been deteriorating for the past seven years.

Anita was born in Portsmouth on January 30, 1955 youngest daughter of the late James and Olga (DallaMura) O'Leary and enjoyed her large family and many friends in the 'Creek' neighborhood.

She married David Denis in 1992 and enjoyed the few generations of the Denis family.

Anita's presence will be missed at the Glencliff Home where she spent ten years, participating in the care of the elderly, active in arts and crafts and making daily announcements on the intercom.

Survivors include her siblings Mary Ann (Daryle) Cooper, James (Jane) O'Leary, Daniel O'Leary, Judy (Brian) Lewton, Joanna (Gary) Ferguson, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her brother Peter O'Leary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 24, at 10:00am at the Immaculate Conception Church, 98 Summer Street, Portsmouth. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Seacoast Birthright, 278 Wahington Street, Unit 1, Dover, NH 03820.

Arrangements are by the Farrell Funeral Home, 684 State Street, Portsmouth.
