DANVERS — Anna M. (Parrotti) DeLuca, 92, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at a local nursing facility, following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Dominic DeLuca Sr.
Born in Salem on April 11, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Santa (Teranos) Parrotti. She was raised and educated in Salem and had been a Danvers resident for over 70 years.
For many years, Mrs. DeLuca was employed at the kitchens at the former Danvers State Hospital. A communicant of St. Richard Church, she enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by five children and their spouses: Mary and Peter Pierce of Tampa, Fla., Ralph and Patricia DeLuca of Danvers, Paul and Nancy DeLuca of Salem, Samuel and Peggy DeLuca of Peabody, and Dominic and Kathleen DeLuca of Danvers; 14 grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, and beloved neice and caretaker, Tina Nunes of Danvers.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. As requested, there are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Care Alternatives, 181 Cedar Hill St., Marlboro, MA 01752. It is so hard to let go of someone that has been a part of our entire life. The great thing is that the love and memories continue. I know you can draw strength from Missy as she has had this sad experience and will help you through. I love you and wish I could be there with you.
