Annie Lee Jackson Scipio DARLINGTON - Funeral service for Mrs. Annie Lee Jackson Scipio of Darling-ton will be 1:00 p. m. Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Centerville A.M.E. Church, Hartsville. Rev. J. L. Rouse, Pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., Darl-ington. Mrs. Scipio died Tuesday, April 12th in a Florence hospital after an illness. She was born in Darlington a daughter of the late R. L. and Susie Rhodes Jackson. She received was educated in the Darlington County public schools and was employed as a cook in the Darlington County School District. She was a member of Centerville A.M.E. Church. Survivors include: her husband of 42 years, John Moses Scipio of the home; two daughters, Hermena (Brian) Hardy of Tampa, FL and Shantel Scipio of Darlington; one son, Johnny Scipio of Darling-ton; three grandchildren: Kendra Scipio, Brian Hardy, Jr. and Juwan Bull; three sisters: Mamie Jackson, Linda Jackson (Curtis Hunter) both of Darlington and Christine (Tracy) Ray of CT; one brother, Louis (Katie) Jackson of Darling-ton; brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her siblings: R. L. Jackson, Jr., Steve Junior Jackson; a nieces, Linda Marie Jackson; a nephew, James E. Jackson. The family is receiving friends at the residence, 1312 Scipio Drive, Darling-ton.
