Annie Seats Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 29 to Nov. 30, 2008.
"Her children rise up and call her blessed." – Proverbs 31:28
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Annie L. Seats, age 86, went to meet her Savior on Friday, Nov. 28, at the home of her daughter, Charlene Campbell, with her loving family surrounding her.
She was the daughter of the late Ed and Mary Lawson and widow of the Rev. Ellis Frank Seats. She lived most of her life in the Holston Valley community and was retired from Raytheon. Annie was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, and before the retirement of her husband, Rev. Ellis Seats, she was very active in the Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Seats was dearly loved by her family and all who knew her and she returned that love. She had a quiet, loving spirit and her greatest desire was for her family to know her Lord and meet her in heaven. She loved her pastor, Noah Stout, and her church family.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lisa Seats; sisters, Irene, Retha, Ginny, Ruth and Pearl; and brothers, Calvin and Silas.
Survivors include her children, Frank Russell Seats and wife Bobbie, Doris Metheny and husband Bob, Charlene Campbell and husband Ronnie and Ward Seats and wife Janice, all of Bristol; grandchildren, Chris Seats, Wendy Eitel, Robin Mumpower, Mark Metheny, Pam Tucker, Beth Clark, Matt Seats, Rebekah Wagner and Andrew Seats; great-grandchildren, Alex, Ashton, Parker, Hunter, Pierce, McKenzie, Josh, Sam, Taylor, Hannah, Austin, Abby, Anna, Ben, Jonathan, Simeon, Sarah, Lucas, Emily, Annie, Uriah and Stella; sisters, Lois Stallard, Hazel Moore, Marie Clendemon and Eva Houser; sisters-in-law, Edra Miller and Elsie Lawson; special friends, Lucille Carter, Loretta Metheny and Hazel Shaver; special caregivers, Terry Seats and Linda Arnold; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at 6 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Noah Stout officiating, assisted by the Rev. Johnny Dillard. Private committal services will be held on Monday. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 to 5:45 p.m.
It is the family's request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Friendship Chapel Building Fund, P.O. Box 1551, Bristol, Tenn.; or to the Ronald McDonald House, 418 N. State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37604. Online condolences may be registered at www.Weaverfuneralhome.net.
Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.
