Marty and Jody,
Today, on Anthony's birthday, I want you to know that I am praying for you. No one can touch you like Jesus can. He is "A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief". You can take your grief to Him and He alone can share that sorrow to the deepest depths. He knows, and no other does, exactly how you feel. "He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities." Communion with the Master will be your greatest relief. You can rejoice in the assurance that Anthony is in the Presence of the Lord. You raised a gentleman. I love both of you.

Marty and Jody, I was so sad to hear about your loss. I live in Daphne now and am out of touch with most of my former students. The care and respect Anthony displayed toward everything and everyone always said volumes about his love for God and your excellent parenting. What a delight it was to know him. I have been praying for you both since I heard. May God's amazing comfort surround you each moment. Sadly, I understand firsthand how you may be feeling, we lost our youngest grandaughter Sept.1. I can say, God is wonderful in the ways He comforts us. Hold tightly to His Word and your relationship to Him. So much Love to you.

Dear Best Friends:
Our hearts are so broken for you in this time of loss. There are no words to express how much we miss Anthony. His life was such an inspiration to us all. We know days ahead are going to be hard without him but we have to think about how happy Anthony is in Heaven.
I would like to say "Happy Birthday Anthony" this Oct. 4th. I know this is the best Birthday you've ever had. Oh, and I'm sorry.....you're car was not cute, I meant nice, manly, mean.....

My heart is so heavy when I think of this world without Anthony...My heart is so light when I think of Heaven with Anthony. Larry, Casey, Gavin, Peyton and I sat around the other night reliving some memories of our families together. We laughed and cried and rejoiced that we were blessed to know him. We love you, Jody & Marty and plan to visit with you soon. His poems and drawings are priceless pieces in our home now and we pray that you can feel God's loving embrace in the days to come. We are so sure that Anthony is having some wonderful conversations with everyone from Historical figures to the Disciples! I can only imagine his huge grin. I apologize for arriving late for the funeral today. Brother Eugene's message told me a lot about things I did not truly know about Anthony, but nothing that I did not already know in my heart.
When I met Anthony, he was asking questions about advising. Later in class or just talking about future career possibilities, it was always so important to Anthony that things were "right". Not right in terms of getting the correct answer, but right in terms of walking along the right path. Your son walked on the right path. I now know you and others knew that truth even more than I.

I first met Anthony at Faith Temple Church of God in Mt. Vernon. He told me about his job at CPSI and offered me advice on applying there. I think Anthony was a considerate person and one who cared about my life. I know that you will miss him very much, but only God can mend your broken hearts. Marty and Jody, you were great parents to the child entrusted to you. There is no doubt that you loved Anthony and he loved both of you in return. I appreciate all you taught him and the Godly examples you were before him. I am so proud of the relationship you all had with him and that you were so close.
