Arlon James Rowe
July 29, 1946-February 17, 2023
MCALESTER-Arlon James Rowe, 76, of McAlester, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023, at his home. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Silvis United Methodist Church in Silvis, Illinois. Born July 29, 1946, to Elton Rowe and Dorothy (Swim) Rowe in Moline, Illinois. Married Sherry Havens on August 28, 1965. Honorably served in the US Army, where he received a National Defense Service Medal. Employed with the Rock Island Railroad and later worked for the US Military as a civilian employee spanning 30 years traveling the world. Retired from the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant In 2012. He is survived by his daughter: Susan Woodison son-in law, Jim of Plainfield, Illinois; His Daughter In-law Julia Rowe and his grandchildren: Jessica Woodison Brown, Courtney Woodison, Hailley, Michael, and Jeffrey; his great grandchildren: Gianna, Jordan, Aria and Faera, Arlon is preceded in death by wife: Sherry (Havens) Rowe; son: Tony Rowe; parents: Elton and Dorothy (Swim) Rowe; and his brother: Warren Rowe.
