Goldman Dr. Arnold D. "Arnie" The only child of Katie and Abraham Goldman born on September 29th, 1933 and peacefully left us on January 24th, 2021. He was raised and educated in Philadelphia, P.A. Dr. Goldman had a thriving private practice in the South Jersey Area. Some recognition's of Dr. Goldman was when he received the Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award for Voluntary Faculty at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in 1997, and election by his colleagues to Inclusion in "Top Docs" in Philadelphia Magazine in 2002. In all of his many activities he always displayed tremendous spirit and teamwork. His happiest achievements were his marriage of 63 years to his wonderful wife Lynn (whom he met on someone else's blind date), his forever silent partner, who worked with him in his practice. They have a beautiful family of four original children and four gifted to them by marriage and ten stellar grandchildren: Audrey (Brian) and children Brandon (Michelle), Leigh (Bianca), and Scott (Emely); Shari (Keith) and children Katrina and Bianca; Daniel (Cheryl) and children Abigail and Tara; and Rachel (Simon) and children Jordan, Phillip, and Chase. His greatest joy was the family vacations he took every summer. Dr Goldman, Arnie, Dad, Zaydah, had the most beautiful blue eyes and stunning smile which will be greatly missed by all. We were all fortunate to have known a man such as him and the world is a better place for having had Dr. Arnold D. Goldman in it. A private chapel service will be held for the family Wednesday followed by a private interment. Contributions in his memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 1818 Market St., Suite 2820, Phila., PA 19103, www.cancer.org. www.goldsteinsfuneral.com

Dear Marilyn & Family, I was a patient of Dr. Goldman for many years. We didn't know of his passing until now 2024, which realy took us by surprise. He was so compassionate & understanding, very knowledgable and very helpful in helping me (Marion) through many years of therapy. He helped me cope with the death of my son in 1998, which was a very dark time in my life. He was a wonderful man & doctor, and is truly missed. Our belated condolences to you Marilyn & your family.

I have known Dr. Goldman in our work together at NJPA. He was the kindest and friendliest soul who always was caring about others and often had us laughing with his jokes. He will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathy to Lynn and his family.

Having known Arnie and family as a child on that proud Wyalusing Avenue, I can recall a much loved, kind soul. Living directly across from him, his mom often took care of me when my mom needed help. And, I have followed his wonderful life through my brother Carl and have even asked his advice at times. A true, beautiful, intelligent man who made his mark and will be remembered as a blessing to many.

A wonderful man who though me a lot about psychiatry and life. He will be missed by so many.

I am so saddened at Dr. Goldman's (Arnie's) passing. He and I have not kept in touch. But, in 1972, when I was a first year Hahnemann resident in psychiatry, rotating through PGH for six months, he was my Medical director. When I was all wet behind the ears, he was a wonderful mentor, teacher, and all around mensch. I fondly remember him helping to host a major weekend conference at PGH featuring R.D. Laing. Though you do not know me, please accept my deepest condolences.

Our dear and devoted friend, Arnie. Kind, thoughtful, funny, wise and full of love and devotion for his family and life as it presented itself. An example of what being a human being really meant. He has left an indelible mark on all who were lucky enough to have known him. Loved and remembered always. Our deepest condolences to his beloved Lynne and the family.
