[email protected] Sylvester sisters blocks
Susan Seater
December 5, 2013
I met Barbara in the summer of 1998 on Sylvester Cove, Deer Isle, when I was documenting quilts made on the cove by the Benjamin Sylvester family in the 1860's. The quilts and my reports on them are in the Historical Society in Sunset ME. Barbara was helpful with the genealogy of the Sylvester family from whom she had descended and we reminisced about going to Prescott Eaton's store for penny candy when we were children - such things didn't change in the 17 years between our ages. Mary Kate, your mother told me about a quilt made of blocks found in "The Old House" that you had in 1998. I would love to see it or photos of it, when you have time to contact me. I am grateful to Barbara for all her help to me. With sympathy, Susan (Harris) Seater, [email protected]

Barbara - my cousin who lived down the street. You and your husband Joe helped me in so many ways. I always expected to come back for more "talks". You and Joe did so much good - I know you will be rewarded!
