Barbara Moore Obituary
Knoxville - Barbara J. Moore (BJ)- age 76 of Knoxville departed this life on February 24, 2021 at her residence with her daughter by her side.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Tommy Moore, Sr., Children Tommy Moore, Jr., Joyce Ann Moore, Jackie and Lucille Moore and most recently Granddaughter, Shay Hicks.
She is survived by Sons, Robert and Ricky Moore of Nashville, TN, Daughter Betty Moore of Knoxville, TN, Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with the Celebration of Life Service to begin at 12:00 Noon at the Unity Mortuary Chapel with Minister Jamie Murphy officiating. The final resting place will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery immediately following the service followed by a white dove release.
Mrs. Moore will lie-in-repose on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 12:00p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at the Unity Mortuary Chapel. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family asks that masks be worn and social distancing be practiced. Unity Mortuary is honored to serve the Moore family. www.unitymortuary1979.com.

My sincerest condolences goes out to the family of Mrs. BJ.
We were blessed to know of and build a relationship with her sweet soul through The Children’s Center of Knoxville. Her sweet smile and gracious loving personality gave me all the assurance I needed when I handed my baby over to her in the mornings. Mrs. Bj will forever be remembered in my heart by that beautiful smile and top tier fashion she always wore. I used to joke with Mrs. Bj all the time about her fly velour /leopard sweatsuits, said when I loose some weight she should loan me a set haha. My son Kendrick Loved her dearly, and found comfort when he heard her voice, to say the least she was such a blessing to many, many, many people. I will continue to keep the family in my prayers.
