Heartbroken that Barry has left us, but so thankful that he was such a wonderful part of my life. Lamb´s good friend from Belle Harbor and mine after Lamb´s departure into the wild blue yonder. Our sailing adventures in the Caribbean and Croatia were beyond fantastic. I still laugh just thinking about them. I will always laugh and be happy when I think of you Barry. I hope you and Lamb and all the Belle Harbor boys are wreaking havoc again.
Now I need to make a rum punch and toast you and thank you for always being there for me..
With deep affection..Chrissie

Barry or Koot as I affectionately referred to him (barracuda) will forever be one of the Belle Harbor boys! I really think there was something in the drinking water that made them all a little nuts , (that´s why we loved Them.) They always had fun and they always were getting into trouble , I will forever remember my trip to Croatia under the supervision of Barry. Boy did we have a lot of laughs.
When I think of Koot I think of his big presence in a room, his smile and beautiful blue eyes, and don´t forget his BB ring, He loved his scotch, pancakes, morning coffee from Cumberlands and how much he loved having everyone at his home in Dartmouth. But number one on his list was ALWAYS his family.what a husband, father, brother, grandfather and GREAT grandfather he was . I feel privileged to have had Barry as a friend. Rest in Peace Koot, give
Mike and Donald a hug for me

Barry was the true embodiment of two words, mensch and Patriarch. My sincere condolences to his entire family. Yes Barry, I will keep my promise to you. Rest in Peace.

Barry and I were best friends for over 65 years, and some of the best years of my life were sent with Barry. I will miss our phone calls where we caught up on family events, but with 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren it was impossible to share all the news in a single call. I feel fortunate that I had a chance to visit with Barry just a few short months ago, and I will keep him in my thoughts for as long as I live.
