Betty Pierce Resident of Pinole This Saturday, December 10, 2011 family and friends will be reflecting back on the life of Betty Jean Segura Pierce, who passed away peacefully amongst loved ones on Tuesday, November 29th. Born June 23, 1946 in Albany, CA and a 40 year resident of Pinole, Betty was a wondrous and colorful woman whose unique perspective on life was evident in her attitude, poetry, art and fashion sense. Besides being a well-loved mother, daughter and sister, "Grandma Betty" was adored by her seven grandchildren who will always remember her floppy hats and sugary-sweet baking concoctions. Betty worked for over three decades in the medical services industry. She is survived by her children Les Claypool, Ron Pierce and Tam Pierce as well as her father Les Simoni and stepmother Nona "Nanny" Simoni. She was a loving sister to Jenise Simoni, Wendy Sobotta and Jenny Welsh. Betty was preceded in passing by her mother, Wilma Sutherland and brother, Alan Simoni. Services will be held at Pinole United Methodist Church-2000 San Pablo Ave, Pinole at 2:00pm. Anecdotes are encouraged.
