Beverly Patencio Diaz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 1, 2017.
Beverly Patencio Diaz was born September 30, 1936 to John Joseph Patencio and Frances Saubel. Diaz's mother, Frances Saubel, came from Morongo and was known for her amazing cooking. Diaz's father was the Last Ceremonial Singer of the Kauisik Clan of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Beverly grew up in Palm Springs and married her husband, Arthur "Sonny" Walter Diaz when she was 18 years old. The two shared 63 wonderful years of marriage, 5 children, 28 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. As a little girl, Diaz's first language was Cahuilla, and she spoke it at home with her family. Beverly was an ordained minister for the Rincon Chapel. She was always involved in Tribal Iife, serving in various positions including the Election Committee, as a Tribal proxy, and as the Chairman of both the Enrollment Committee and Cemetery Committee. ( 1 Tesalonicenses 4:13,14)

We start the going home celebration for my Grandma Beverly today ... it's with a heavy heart that a light this big along with her anointing has gone from this world . But I hold a peace knowing she raised us right by the example she was and the legacy she has left ... and that I hold the same light and anointing within myself. I know my Gram is in heaven waiting on the day in which we will once again be together again for eternity. I love you gram... IT'S NOT A GOODBYE IT'S A UNTIL THEN ❤❤❤ I ask for prayers for my family!!!
