This Sunday May 26, 2024 will be 8 years without you - 8 unbearable years. Your loss has rearranged my world and changed the way I see everything - grief that tears me down and pain that transports me to an entirely different universe. My heart is still shattered ... how I wish you were here.

Cindy,
I am so sorry to hear about Bob. Always saw him running in Avon Lake and thought that's a dedicated guy. I enjoyed my visits to your house, to take care of the kids, and always felt welcome as a friend.
The staff sends their best also.

Bob was "Mr. Class Of 85." He transcended cliques, stereotypes, grade levels, age, you name it, all with his charm and disarming honesty. He was friends with everyone and always fun to be around.
Thoughts and prayers to the Flajniks and his wife, Cindy.

MRS. Flajnik, (Cindy)
I start my message to you with your title Mrs Flajnik because thats how i remember you,you were on airport alert and called to work the trip I was on (your replaced junior) you came up to me with the biggest smile on your face and said hi I'm Cindy,Cindy Flanik I'm Bobs wife,Bob Flaniks wife,it made me smile to see just how happy and proud you were to be the wife of Bob Flanik and rightfully so he was a great man,and I know first hand how much you meant to him because I'm one of the few people who would not let him talk about running. and what do you know a week after you and had our first trip together once again you were called off airport alert and assigned my trip (once again you replaced junior) when you got on the plane you said hi Patty and I said hi Cindy Flainik Bob Flainiks wife and you just beamed. I just want you to know Im thinking about you.

Condolences to the Flajnik family, and offering prayers for you and Bob. At our fraternity at Penn State, we called him "Flaj," and we had so many fun times as brothers and in the bond. Even in this sad time, I can only remember him happy, entertaining us with "Scoob," his pet python, and his passion for sports.

Dear Cindy and family, I am so very sad to learn of your tragic loss. Ironman Bob and I had many flights together on the "73" out CLE. I remember one time on a PHX layover, I went to the exercise room in the hotel, and Bob was banging out the miles on the only treadmill. I said, "How much longer, Bob?" He said, can you come back in 90 minutes?" I agreed, no problem, but when I came back, Bob was done and gone, but the treadmill was busted/smokin' used up!!! Just one of my fond memories of Bob. Because of my email handle, he used to call me "Dirty deades" always enjoyed him so much and so very sad at this horrible time. I will be praying for God's comfort for you all...Love, Doug

I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with all of Bob's family. Bob was one of my best friends from our days in Plum and a big reason I have so many great memories of growing up. He was so much fun to be around and made everyone feel good. The Flajnik family were always so welcoming when we came over to visit. There was a lot of love in that home and Bob shared it with all of us. We will celebrate how he lived and smile at all the great memories.

Bob,
We are so sorry to see you leave us. You represented all that was good in this world. Your smile, your sparkling personality and effortless energy was truly an inspiration to us all. You and your brothers were wild when you guys were little and your sister Lynda and your Mom & Dad were always mellow. We remember you hanging out with us at 2 am at your brother Tom's wedding and having to start your new job the next morning. I still wonder how you made it through that day!
To Cindy, your wonderful wife, we can't be eloquent enough to express our sadness. Even though we only met a few times, you were loved by us because we loved Bob.
Bob is running the big race now. When he first told me he ran marathons, I asked him what was wrong with him. I can't imagine anyone running for fun. His response was "..it's fun in a weird sort of way..." and then just laughed.
We are so sorry and please let us know if we can ever do anything for you.
Sincerely,
Lee, Denise, Alexandra & Erika

Bob was a best friend in high school. We grew up together and he made life worth living. I never had a bad day around him. He was a guy who always made you laugh and felt that you were the most important person in his life. He and I coached soccer together at Plum High School and his support for the students and me was boundless. We grew apart after I moved to Florida and will always regret that. I hope he is at peace and I personally feel better knowing that he is up in heaven looking out for me. God Bless you Bob and thank you for making my life better by knowing you. Bob believed in me more than I believed in myself. We started as coach and client and became special friends. Bobby, our whole Seaman family is so saddened by this news. Everyone has that best friend growing up, and you were that guy to Timmy. (Hans and Franz). We have so many memories that we will forever cherish. As much as we criticize social media, because everyone always has their heads done, looking at their phone, we will be forever grateful for Facebook. If it weren't for FB, we wouldn't have had the wonderful opportunity to reconnect and be a part of our now, instead of just our past. You didn't have a mean bone in your body! You were one of the good guys with a heart of gold. Our hearts and prayers go out to your entire family and friends. You will be forever missed! Godspeed...

I was nothing real special, the usual cheerleader on the end. My boyfriend had dumped me right at my 16th birthday, I was so afraid no one would come to celebrate with me in the summertime. When Bob said he would be there...and the guest list exploded, my older brothers enjoyed him, my parents loved his manners, and he was just such a wonderfully kind fella to make that day special for me.So sad to hear of this, so many prayers for understanding and acceptance for his family.
