Bradford Hasbrouck Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 1, 2025.
Bradford "Brad" Hasbrouck III, 39, passed away unexpectedly on November 30, 2023, in Poughkeepsie, New York, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Born on September 7, 1984, in Middletown, New York, to his adoring Mother Dawn Hasbrouck and his Father Bradford Hasbrouck Jr, Brad was a vibrant soul with a big bright smile from the very beginning. He grew up surrounded by family with a shared love of WWF wrestling, music, dancing, singing, laughter, jokes and Horror movies. Brad was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and would cheer them on with enthusiasm and exuberance! He had a deep appreciation of nature and a love for animals. But most of all, he was kind, compassionate, funny and empathetic.

Brad attended Valley Central High School where he found his passion for sports. During his tenure at Valley Central, Brad became a sought after running back for private institutions, where he was frequently watched by talent scouts. This led Brad to The Pennington School, where he continued to flourish in the game of football. Ultimately, this led him to attend Central Connecticut State University where he played Division 1 football.

After a shortened college experience, Brad answered a higher calling by serving his country in the United States Army. His time in service reflected his protective spirit and deep sense of duty-qualities that remained central throughout his life.

However, Brad's most important role in life was as a proud father to his children; Donovan and Hayden Hasbrouck and as a loving husband to his wife Melanie Hasbrouck. His devotion to his children, wife and family was fierce and unconditional; he cherished every moment spent with them.

Brad is deeply mourned by his surviving family members; Wife Melanie Hasbrouck; Children Donovan Hasbrouck and Hayden Hasbrouck; Mother Dawn Hasbrouck; Father Bradford Hasbrouck Jr; Sister Candace Hasbrouck and her Husband Devin Crawford; Brother Brandon Hasbrouck and his Wife Jilliann Hasbrouck; Brother Brett Hasbrouck and his Wife Passion Hasbrouck; Brother Viante Hasbrouck; Nieces Harper Hasbrouck, Everly Hasbrouck, and Juno Hasbrouck; Nephews Aidan Boyd, Jalen Hasbrouck, and Liam Crawford; Maternal Grandmother Mary Morgan; Extended Family; Shana Howard, Brittney Oliveira and Erik Boyd; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends whose lives were touched by Brad.

He was predeceased by his Paternal Grandmother Margaret McGuiness Hasbrouck and Paternal Grandfather Bradford Hasbrouck Sr; Paternal Aunts Darlene and Jodie Hasbrouck, Mabel "Missy" Rodriguez, and Doreen Burgos and Maternal Aunt Linda Harrington.

Brad's radiant smile lit up every room he entered. He had an innate ability to make others feel seen and valued-a kind soul who never hesitated to help someone in need. His laughter echoed through gatherings large and small, bringing joy wherever he went.

Though gone far too soon, Brad's memory will live on through the countless lives he touched with his generosity of spirit, boundless energy, and enduring love. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him-and may we carry forward the light he so freely gave.

I am sad that I will never see you dance again to Michael Jackson music and see from afar that smile that would put everything at ease. I will remember your sense of humor and your deep soul and beliefs that you would share with your cousins,Justine and Jessica. Brad you will always be in my heart until I see you again. I will always remember you ,when I listen to Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson, your favorite song, " May we all be the man in the mirror in honor of Brad". Love you,see you when I get there...
