Bradley MITCHELL Obituary
B. Bradley Mitchell, 89, of Riviera Beach, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Bradley was born in Bartow, Florida to the late Bradley H. Mitchell and Mary E. Mitchell. His memories are cherished by his loving wife, Jerdean, two children (previous marriage), son Ronnie Mitchell (Alice), daughter Sharon Mosley (Elmer), and step-daughter Wendy Holland. He has two surviving sisters Bobbie McKenney, Vernell Thomas along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, cousins, and good friends. Education: Bachelors (FAMU), Masters Degrees (Indiana University), Specialist (Nova University) Achievements: Athletically and Educationally, Bradley Mitchell's contributions have been greatly appreciated with Honors and Awards. Bradley was inducted into the FAMU Hall of Fame (1981), Palm Beach County Hall of Fame (1985), Bartow Hall of Fame (2006), City of Riviera Beach 1st Annual Sports Hall of Fame (2007), Gold Metal #v rating (highest metal from FHSAA) for his officiating of twenty-five years. WE SALUTE "COACH MITCHELL" for imprinting your legacy for the next generation. Lasting forever in heartfelt memories. A viewing will take place Friday, October 17th from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Payne Chapel AME Church, 801 9th Street, West Palm Beach. A Christian service will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18th at 11:00AM at Payne Chapel in West Palm Beach. Burial entrusted to Royal Palm Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, following a repast at Payne Chapel.

I was a young teacher at Forest HIll HIgh School when I first encountered "Mr. Mitchell". What an impact he had on me and the other teachers he took under his wing. He was a dean and counseld us as well as our younger students. He was smart , kind, fair, and most of all so much fun! He made working tolerable and was always a port in a storm. The world is a better place for him being here. He left us with love and laughter. Who could ask for more?
