Bradley Wess Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 20 to Oct. 22, 2007.
WESS – Bradley J., of New Germany, our beloved treasured son went home with the Lord Oct. 19th, 2007, as a result of an auto accident. He was greeted by his maternal grandfather, Leroy J. Wirfel; paternal grandfather, David C. Wess; and cousin, Joel J. Wirfel. Brad leaves behind his broken-hearted family, friends and loved ones who will be forever honored to have had this amazing young man to know and love for the short time the Lord loaned him to us. Born Jan. 26, 1991, in Johnstown, son of David J. and Karen R. (Wirfel) Wess. He leaves his proud parents, Dave and Karen; loving older brother, Steven D.; and adoring younger sister, Karissa R., all at home. Also his maternal grandmother, Leona (Morris) Wirfel; paternal grandmother Barbara (Bakale) Wess; and his wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins: Kathy Wirfel, and husband, Ron Wess, and their son, Ryan; Jack and Lisa (Radebach) Wirfel, and children Courtney, Jamie, Jon and Heath; Brenda Wirfel, and children, Deanna Bopp, Nicki and Denton Lester and Stacey Bopp; Margie Wirfel, and husband, Terry Gongloff, and their children, Mark and Kristi; Lisa Wess, and husband, Dennis Pegden, and children, Wes, Whitney, Kelsey and Calder; Den and Liz (Castillo) Wess and children, Brian, Jill and Mark; and Doug and Linda (Dumm) Wess, and children Emma Paige and Jon; and so many wonderful and numerous friends. Brad was a junior at Forest Hills High School, where he was a high honors student. He planned to study for a career in engineering upon his graduation. Brad loved trips to the family camp, hunting, fishing, snowboarding, water skiing, mastering his flip on the wake board, knee board water battles, and riding his motorcycle, four-wheeler and snowmobile. He also loved an intense game of Texas Hold-em’ with his many friends. A member of the Forest Hills Varsity Hockey Team, Laurel Run Rod and Gun Club, 321 Kinzua Trail Riders, and Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Arrangements are incomplete pending improvement of injuries that his father and brother received in the same accident. The family is being served by the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg. Visitation times and funeral Mass will be announced in a day or two. In the meantime, please keep Brad’s family in your prayers.
