LERCH, Bruce Frederick II 42, of Franklin, passed on December 6, 2015 in the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the beloved son of Bruce F. Lerch of Franklin and Carol M. (Hennessey) Lerch of Plainville. Bruce was born in Milford on November 18, 1973. He was a graduate of Mount Saint Charles High School in Woonsocket, RI, received his Bachelors Degree from Daniel Webster College, and later his Masters Degree in Journalism from Emerson College. Bruce worked as a sports writer for the Boston Herald, covering high school sports for many years. He was editor in chief of Boston Lax, his own podcast and Youtube based entity. In addition to his love of sports, he enjoyed reading and was an avid Star Wars fan. In addition to his parents, Bruce is survived by two sisters; Kelly Flanagan and her husband Wayne of Bellingham, and Jamie Lerch- Ebner and her wife Anne-Marie Ebner of New York City. Also survived by his grandmother; Esther Lerch of Doylestown, PA, and numerous cousins and aunts. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, December 11th from 4-8 PM in the RJ Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, WRENTHAM. Funeral services and burial will be private.
