Bruce Lansing Manilla

Bruce L. Manilla, 83, of Williamsburg and formerly of Sarasota, FL, passed away on February 13, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Manilla. An entrepreneur, Bruce was a professional artist and art show promoter. Loving nature and spending time outdoors, he was a master gardener who particularly enjoyed flowers. He was a member of Shelby Gardens in Sarasota, FL. He is survived by his children, Bruce L. Manilla and partner, Andy; David W. Manilla and wife, Gail; Michael T. Manilla and wife, Pam; Mary L. Manilla-Smith and husband, Dave; and Margaret "Meg" Murto and husband, Craig; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and two great-grandchildren on the way. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 18 from 6-8 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 19 at 2 PM at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd, Williamsburg, with interment in the St. Bede Gardens.
