AGE: 50 • Medford

Bryan M. Doherty 50, of Medford died suddenly November 28, 2013 in Cape Cod, MA. He was Supervisory Special Agent for the Dept. of Justice, DEA in Philadelphia for 27 years. He was the Commander of HIDTA Interdiction Initiative at Philadelphia Airport and also the Resident Agent in Charge of the Camden Resident Office. Bryan & his wife, Stephanie owned the Pine Creek Christmas Tree Farm in Medford. Born in Brooklyn, NY he resided in Westwood before moving to Medford 14 years ago. He has a BA in Criminal Justice from Mercyhurst College in Eerie, PA. He was currently the President of the Medford Lakes Lions and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 6520, Medford. He was a member of St Mary of the Lakes Church, Medford and was part of the Pre-Cana Ministry with his wife.

He is predeceased by his father, Michael H. and his brother, Michael H Jr. Surviving is his wife of 12 years, Stephanie Kassel-Doherty and son, Christian Kassel of Medford, his mother, Barbara A. O'Connor Doherty of Rockaway Beach, NY and his brother Hugh J Doherty & wife Jean of Brooklyn, NY. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Gerald, Bridget, Sean, Erin, Caleigh, Andrew, Steven, and twins, Olivia & Emma.

Visitation is Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Friday 10:30 AM at St Mary of the Lakes Church, Medford with a private cremation to follow, In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Medford Lakes Lions PO Box 2105 Medford Lakes, NJ 08055.
