Candice Russell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 29, 2022.
Candice Russell passed away September 26th unexpectantly September 26th in Arizona at the young age of 41.

Those who knew Candice, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. You were her friend for life the moment you met. She will forever be remembered for her beauty, love, kindness, and compassion she gave to all she met through her travels in life. Including taking in any stray dog that crossed her path.

Candice is survived by her mother, Kristine Otte, father, Bryan Russell, stepmother, Jackie Eggers; sisters, Jessica Willems and Elizabeth Russell; brother, Kenneth Russell, grandmother Pat Otte; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her Grandma Davey, Uncle Davey, grandparents Melvin Otte, Kenneth & Eileen Russell and her dog Pookie.

A very special thank you to Emily (Fisher) Youness for your life long friendship with Candice. You two were truly soul sisters and she loved you so much. We should all be so lucky to have the friendship that you two had.

Saying thank you is not enough to Molly Carson, Pastor Pat Bianco and John Hacalamito, all from Arizona for your love and compassion and seeing only the goodness from within. You were her earth angels.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life for Candice, Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Tavern Grill in Apple Valley, MN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Candice's name to the Phoenix Dream Center, Animal Humane Society of Phoenix or charity of your choice.

Candice: Beautiful, Creative, Fearless, and Giving

Candice Russell, one of God´s most unique creations, was a candle not burning from both ends but from its center, a woman with more style than you could find strolling down the Champs Élysée on a September Sunday. Candice packed enough energy in her slender frame to force a Red Bull retire-gasping-to an EZ-Boy recliner with a bag of chips. Candice re-defined good looking. When the Hubble space telescope was first sent into orbit its vision was blurry and needed correction. Once corrected what you could see through it opened new worlds. The first time Candice stood beside me I experienced something similar, the world opened up, its depth became apparent and radiant beauty shone in every thing and through everyone. When I really think about her I realize Candice was a concept beyond conception. We all owe her a debt of gratitude for expanding the potential of our own being.

My Candio. The world was not big enough to hold you. Your wings and beautiful soul could not tethered. From the day you were born, I was there. Your incredible way of just saying things that needed to be said, but in the most honest and hilarious way. You were truly a sould out of time. You can see all the beautiful places your heart framed of. You can save everyone from where you are now. You were a gift to me. Laughing with you about cornflakes with ice cream. Hearing you ski-skat-skoot me "Domino" songs. We are all so blessed to have had you for the way too brief moment you were stuck on earth. I can only imagine the amazing outfits you have been wearing. All most certainly with roller skates and Grandma is saying "oh Fer Cute Candice Ann". I will NEVER not cry when I hear Candy-O and that's okay. Because you will be with me in that moment. I loves you cuzzle. Skit skat skoodle dee Domino

Oh Candio, I'll miss you calling me Heathio. I'll miss your amazing smile! I'll miss you skeet-skoot-skatting songs around the house. I'll miss your genuine love & harmony. I am thankful for the awesome friendship we shared and adventures we went on & all the times we lived together. You taught me to live in the moment, appreciate nature, be mindful of others feelings and even how to meditate. Your light was so bright it filled every space you entered!! I will miss you my cousin & friend. Take care of Meadow & Olive for me. And say hi to gma & gpa. I love you always & forever. -Heathio

Most of my memories are from younger years but not faded in the least... Rest in Peace Chopper... Just know that my Pa is there & will be waiting with an ice cold pop for breakfast & waiting to take ya to Valley Fair! I loved how my Pa teased Neke, Heather & Angie when they were crying & crabby... One Tiny mention of picking up his "other girls - Jessie & Chopper" to go to Valley Fair for Fabulous Day...
Always fixed things right up!
We have a big soft spot for ya in our hearts & I hope my Pa's wisdom & protection heals your soul for the next journey...

To my beautiful soul sister Candice Ann, this has been the greatest loss suffered thus far in life. I will be forever missing our bond and connection, your smile, our laughs, and the way you always smelt so earthy. I pray you are at peace, and I know you have the comfort of Grandma now. Until I see your beautiful face again Chopper! I love you so much!
