Dear Carol and the Fisher Family. I just saw this and I'm heartbroken to hear of sweet Carvis's death. I had the joy of singing alongside him at Geneva College for three years with the Genevans. He had the most amazing tenor voice. In fact I have a solo or two of his on my CDs should you like a copy. He was a true genuine friend. I lost touch with him after I graduated in 1976 and several of his choir buddies talked about getting together again. I know he's with Jesus. In fact, one of his dear Geneva Choir friends passed away suddenly 6 months before Carvis and I'm sure she was ready to throw her arms around him. I would love to hear from you Carol if you'd like

To the Fisher family, Sending our heartfelt condolences and prayers Mr. Fisher was part of the Victory Baptist Church family and dearly loved! He was also one of my first piano teachers, always so patient and kind! I also remember him directing my grandmother, Josephine Patterson's, choir at Victory Baptist Church. Oh the wonderful inspiring concerts he put together for that church. His passion for music and serving God inspired me and I will forever remember him for that. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, but we know he is in a better place and we will all see him again! Rest with God. The Harris family

Dear Carol & Family,
My heart is broken. I loved Carvis. I met Carvis a few years ago at Shadyside Cardio Rehab and was touched by his kind, gentle, loving demeanor. We shared stories and he often talked about his father and how much he missed him.
I feel blessed to have known him.
May he rest in the kind loving arms of our God.
With respect and love,
Roger Fustich

I will forever miss you Uncle Butch... You were such a great man and I had an enormous amount of love and respect for you... You always had a kind word or knew just what to say to keep anyone encouraged... Your strength and resilience spoke to who you were as a person. Oh, and our love for cars that we shared... priceless! I'm glad you are free and not limited anymore, so you can play the organ/piano and sing for that heavenly choir... Say hello to Granddaddy for me and keep him company in Heaven until we meet again on the other side!

Ms Carol,
I am truly saddened to hear of Mr Fisher's transition to everlasting life and at the same time rejoicing because I know he is with the Lord. He was always especially kind to me and I enjoyed our many conversations from school, music to Jesus. May the Holy Spirit bring you comfort and peace. You and your family are in my prayers.

To the late CARVIS FISHER, III "BUTCH" family, and friends; GOD will wipe away all tears from your eyes and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. Rest assured that the Lord, our Heavenly Father sends us his Comforter in times of sorrow and grief. He is with you now as always. I will miss his powerful soulful spiritual beautiful singing voice and piano playing, his beautiful warm smile, he was a powerful gentle spirit with a soulful powerful beautiful singing voice and equally beautiful piano musician. I know he will be missed by his family, friends, church music choirs and members for all the good works he did in the service of GOD. CARVIS FISHER, III "BUTCH" deserves to hear our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST say to him WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, WELL DONE! There is no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal! So, entire family, and friends, look to JESUS CHRIST and live! GOD has spoken so let the Faithful say AMEM! GOD Bless You All! Love, Jacquelyn E. Jenkins (Formerly of Pittsburgh, PA)
