Catharine Tatem Obituary
In addition to her mother, Catharine is survived by her husband, John E. Tatem Jr.; her daughter Cheryl Lynn McCaskey; and her son, Michael Edward Tatem (Lisa); grandchildren; Austin McCaskey (Kaitlyn), Courtney McCaskey, Jennifer Hedgepeth, and Ronald Casterline, Jr.; her great-grandchildren, Dylan Hedgepeth, Xander Hedgepeth, and Jayden Casterline; and her nieces, Dottie, Johnnie, and Cathy.
Catharine enjoyed the outdoors, whether it be gardening, fishing, camping or watching birds. She also enjoyed crafting and playing cards with friends. She loved having her Jeep that she could drive on the beach in. She was a retired teacher from Southampton Public Schools in Virginia.
A Celebration of Catharine's Life will be held at the family's home on February 2, 2025 beginning at 2:00pm.
Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, NC 27549. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
