We recently learned of the passing of one of the dearest men we have ever known. Bro Blakley was such a friendly man and his Godly example affected all that surrounded him. We are excited to know he awaits all of us who long to be with him in Heaven. Our thoughts and love to the family.

What a wonderful legacy and heritage Charles Blakley has left us all. I warmly remember the kindness and generosity that Mr. and Mrs. Blakley showed to me during my freshman year at OU with Kenny, and am inspired by the testimony of his commitment to our Lord and Savior Jesus. "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Mr. & Mrs. Blakley allowed me into their home on Chaucer many, many times while I was growing up and they were very kind to me. They were the kind of parents everyone wanted. They were active in football games, school gatherings and always involved with the church. He was a kind, gentle soul and was always so proud of his family and loved the family gatherings. Even though your Thanksgiving crowd may be smaller this year just know that he is rejoicing in seeing his bride, Alphadene, again and sitting at the Lord's table, a spot he certainly earned in this life. God be with all the family and rejoice in a life well lived. He set the bar high and led by example his entire life and a part of that legacy lives on today. I am thankful for having known Mr. Blakley and the impression he made on me so many years ago. God be with each of you today.

We are sharing lots of memories of the Blakley family today and remembering many fun times through The Village "growing up - raising kids" times, family events at Andrew Johnson, as well as some more recent. Ed and Billie enjoyed watching the OU--Texas game with Charlie in his room at Tuscany! We are thankful to have known both he and Alphadene for so many years. Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.
